ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kerin Dimeler-Laurence is a jeweler and metalsmith in Portland, Oregon. Born and raised in southern New Jersey, she received her BFA in Communications Design with a concentration in Metalsmithing from Syracuse University. After graduation she moved to the Pacific Northwest and began a career in the arts.
After working as a graphic and garment designer for several years, she refocused her artistic energy towards jewelry. A hearty appetite for science, the arts and the natural world provides constant inspiration for her works, and fine, organic detail is a major theme in her pieces.
Kerin has sold her work at many shows in Oregon, including Art in the Pearl, CMAG Spring Show, Salem Art Faire and more. She has been a frequent seller at Three Rivers Gallery and Gifts in Oregon City.
She is a member of the Creative Metal Arts Guild in Portland, and a 5-year member of the Three Rivers Artist Guild in Oregon City, the last three years of which she has served on the Board of Directors and volunteered for many planning committees. She currently maintains a studio in Clackamas, Oregon.
